Igor Smirnov has spent his life perfecting the art of perception and interpretation. The son of renowned Russian landscape artist Vasily Smirnov, Igor was immersed in the creative arts from an early age. He continued his artistic career at the College of Fine Arts and went on to earn a Masters in engineering and a degree in clinical psychology from St. Petersburg University in Russia. By running scientific experiments and spending years researching the psychology behind art, Igor found that based on the selection of specific geometric shapes, textures, and colors, art can produce healing, harmonizing effects. Out of these revelations, he developed his own unique artistic style known as “Symbolic Realism.”
